Keenan, Esquire was presented with the Individual Pro-Bono Award for 2009 from the MidPenn Legal Services and York County Bar Foundation for Outstanding Community Service and was one of two recipients receiving this honor. Attorney Keenan participated in five (5) Custody Workshops provided by the York County Bar Association. The Custody Workshops are held in the York County Judicial Center and are held throughout the year. The workshops provide an opportunity for the participants to talk to an attorney regarding custody and custody laws. Hoffmeyer, Esquire is the moderator for the PBI General Practitioners' Update on June 24, 2009 which will be broadcast from the WITF studios by satellite to over 30 locations in Pennsylvania. Additionally, Attorney Hoffmeyer is also the co-presenter of the real estate law portion of the update. Attorney Hoffmeyer has been both the moderator and presenter since the program's inception in 1993.

The North George St. Alliance is an organization of businesses and property owners who own and/or operate properties and businesses on North George St. from Continental Square to Sovereign Bank Stadium. The purpose of the organization is to foster cooperation between the owners concerning the promotion of this specific area of North George St. to the public.

Hoffmeyer & Semmelman, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Christine M. O'Brien, Esquire to our Family Law Division. Attorney O'Brien is a graduate of Emory University where she was heavily involved in varsity athletics. She received her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law where she was on the law journal, worked with the Homeless Advocacy Project and volunteered with Special Olympics. Attorney O'Brien was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2008. Her professional experience includes summer associate work with law offices in Conshohocken and Wyncote PA. Attorney O'Brien will concentrate her practice in the areas of divorce, custody, support, adoption and prenuptial agreements.

This Committee reviews all Rules of Court affecting family and matrimonial law matters, which will primarily focus on the mandatory four-year review of the Pennsylvania Support Guidelines. Mr. Schanbacher has been a partner with Hoffmeyer & Semmelman, LLP for the past nine years, is a member of the Family Law Section Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on several family law matters. |
